Sir Harry
Johnston International Primary School has served the international and local
community since 1952. The school consists of a five classroom block with
hall and a separate networked IT suite and library. Within
the spacious and beautifully landscaped grounds there is a swimming pool, a
seventy metre soccer/games field, basketball court, nursery class play
area, a volleyball court, netball field and smaller sized training pitches.
The
school is well resourced for the age range 3-12. Our curriculum is based
upon the UK National Curriculum, which we have carefully adapted to suit the
requirements of the broad international community that we serve.
We
believe that primary education lays the foundations for life and should
be a hugely positive, rich experience for all children. We aim to
offer a rich, broad and balanced curriculum; a happy, safe and supportive
atmosphere, with a strong commitment to helping all children succeed
whatever their background or abilities.
We offer
an education where children are engaged by learning that develops and
stretches them and excites their imagination so that they enjoy the richness
of their learning – not just learning different things, but learning in many
different ways: out-of-doors, through play, in small groups, through art,
music and sport, from each other by listening, by watching, and by doing.
We strive
to enable our students to develop socially and emotionally so that they take
pride in their learning and want to do well. We aim to
offer every child at our school – whatever their own individual
characteristics – the chance to achieve their full potential giving them
foundations for future learning, and for success in life.
If you
require any additional information about the school, please feel free to
come and talk to us. You will be most welcome.
